Middle school takes on the Battle at the Ridge

The middle school team traveled to Grand Island for the Battle at the Ridge Friday. The girls had a strong showing, winning the tournament with a 58% winning percentage, ahead of second place Westridge which was at 55%. Three girls won individual championships in Gemma Fritzen, McKinley Segelke, and Berkley Hatch. Hatch had an especially exceptional day, racking up 7 takedowns and four nearfalls during her undefeated day. 

It is a quick turnaround for the team, as they go back to Grand Island on Monday for a tournament at Walnut Middle School.
