Four champions headline eighth place finish for middle school

Traveling to Grand Island for the second time in four days, the middle school girls wrestling team was able to work their way to an eighth place finish with a 56% winning percentage. Ella Warburton, Chloee Faz, McKinley Segelke, and Natalie Ramos all came away with championships in their respective brackets. Chloee Faz led the way, pinning all three of her opponents. Natalie Ramos also had a stellar day, notching nine takedowns and scoring 39 points in her three matches. 

After bookending the weekend in Grand Island, the team now gets a chance to review what they learned from both tournaments and get back into the practice room. Their next competition will be in Lexington on February 11th.
