Serrano notches 50th, but Minden falls to Aurora

It was a tough night for the lady whippets as they closed out their duals regular season with a disappointing loss to Aurora 51-24. Highlights were hard to come by, as Minden scored points via three forfeits and one lone pin by Xitlali Nunez, who bumped up to 105 to try to provide a spark for the whippets. 

One of the forfeits by Aurora was at 190 pounds and was given to Isabel Serrano, which upped her career win total to 50, becoming the fourth girl wrestler to reach the milestone in the three year history of the program. She just recently reached the 25 pin mark, one of six girls to do so for Minden.

The girls will participate in the NSWCA Girls State Duals Tournament tomorrow in Pierce, opening against #2 Norfolk. Minden lost to Norfolk earlier in the year 48-36.
