1. What is the Milwee Community Scavenger Hunt?
The scavenger hunt is a fun, community-wide event where students, families, and staff explore local businesses to find hidden Spartan posters, collect free Milwee Swag, and enter to win prizes along the way.
2. When does the event take place?
The scavenger hunt runs from 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM on May 2nd. You may start anytime during that window and complete it at your own pace. Most teams finish in under 1 hour.
3. Where does the event take place?
The hunt takes place at participating local businesses within a 4 mile radius of Milwee. A list/map will be provided on May 1.
4. Do I have to stay the whole time (11–4)?
No. This is a flexible, come-and-go event. Start when it works for you and finish at your own pace.
5. Is there a final meetup?
Yes! Join us at 4:00 PM for the final stops and celebration at the Longwood Luau at Reiter Park.
6. Who can participate?
All current and incoming Milwee Middle School students are welcome, along with their families. Staff may also join in.
7. Can I participate solo or in a group?
You can do the scavenger hunt solo or with a group—friends, classmates, or family members.
8. Do I need to sign up in advance?
No, need to register in advance!
9. What should I bring?
A charged phone (for photos/clues)
Comfortable walking shoes
Water
Your team or a sense of adventure!
10. Will there be prizes?
Yes! The Grand Prize this year is a Moive Night Basket with snacks and a $100 Gift Card to AMC Theatres.
There are three ways to enter to win. 1. Post a photo of yourself with a sign and tag @milweeptsa on Facebook. 2. Post a photo of yourself with a sign and tag @milweeptsa on Instagram 3. Email a photo of yourself with a sign to programs@milweeptsa.com a drawing from all eligible entries will be held on May 6th during the PTSA General Meeting scheduled for 6pm. This giveaway is sponsored by Milwee Middle school PTSA. No purchase necessary to win.
12. Is there a cost to participate?
No—this is a completely free event.
13. What should participants keep in mind?
Be respectful to businesses and community spaces
Follow safety rules and stay aware of surroundings
Have fun and support local businesses!
