Biography:

  • I knew ever since I was a child that I had a passion for teaching and helping others. It wasn't until high school ,however, that I knew that Art would be my focus. I had never been very good at Art or so I thought. It was my high school Art teacher that told me "Art is how you want it to be, not everyone creates the same way. " It was then that I built my personal style and found a passion for helping others do the same. I have been lucky to be teaching my eighth year and my fourth year as an Art teacher at Pulaski High School.

  • This year I get to work with one of my favorite things, popular culture through Art History. I spent the summer catching up on many shows that I had not known about years previously, as well as watching many old favorites. One of favorites of the summer was Fullmetal Alchemist-Brotherhood because my daughters and husband finally watched it with me! I also caught up on some student recommended Anime: Black Clover, Fireforce, The Tempest, and Tokyo Ghoul. In addition to watching these shows I am also a huge comic book nerd (marvel mainly) and have and extensive knowledge or many obscure fandoms. In other schools my students used to call me the Queen of the nerds. I'm also a proud Harry Potter fan and Hufflepuff.

  • As a child my favorite thing to do was read. One of my favorite series was the Harry Potter novels. As I got older I started to like some of the classics like; Farenhiet 451 and Cats Craddle. Now I sadly don't read as many books as I used to but I really enjoy reading manga by independent artists. My new favorite(God of highschool) just got turned into a show on crunchyroll!

  • I have two wonderful daughters Eloise and Hermione, five cats and an amazingly supportive husband of a decade.
