Responsible for serving meals to residents throughout the dining rooms in a professional manner. Responsible for setting tables, washing dishes, properly storing food and supplies, and maintaining high levels of cleanliness throughout workspace areas.

Essential Job Functions

a. Mandatory CBRF certifications for Court East.
b. CBT tests for all food service staff.
9. Provide exceptional customer service to residents during meal services in dining rooms.
10. Assist with special events and delivering room trays as needed.
11. Maintain professional relationships with coworkers and management.
12. Assist in maintaining clean work areas throughout the dining rooms, kitchens and dish rooms using proper sanitization.
13. Promptly notifies appropriate individuals of complaints, compliments, comments and general feedback.

Equipment Utilized
Operation of manual carts and racks; food preparation equipment such as kitchen hand tools; coolers, freezers, coffee making equipment, toasters, floor cleaning equipment such as brooms, mop buckets, vacuum cleaners; service trays and bus pans; dishwashing equipment and related chemical dispensing equipment.
Physical and Mental Requirements

1. Ability to push/pull or lift/carry objects of up to 35 pounds consistently.
2. Ability to push/pull or lift/carry objects up to 50 pounds occasionally.
3. Ability to constantly perform simple manipulative tasks such as portioning, serving food and beverages and washing dishes.
4. Ability to constantly perform moderately difficult manipulative tasks such as moving large equipment to properly clean.
5. Ability to constantly perform simple motor tasks requiring gross body coordination (standing, walking, stooping, washing).
6. Ability to frequently perform tasks requiring eye-hand coordination, such as portioning, serving food and beverages and keeping waitstaff areas fully stocked.
7. Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time, lasting up to 8 hours.
8. Remain in uncomfortable positions, such as bending over worktables, for prolonged periods of time, lasting up to 2 hours.
9. Reach over shoulders, squat, bend and kneel.
10. Occasionally climb stairs.
11. Ability to see objects clearly at a distance and at close range.
12. Ability to differentiate between colors for differentiating menu items and determining food quality.
13. Ability to hear normal noise with some background noise.
14. Ability to distinguish between sounds, such as various alarms, in order to respond appropriately.
15. Ability to remain alert at all times, to respond to the needs of residents/clients, visitors, or coworkers.
16. Concentrate on moderate detail with little interruption as required for taking menu orders and serving food.
17. Understand and relate to several specific ideas at a time as required to take multiple meal orders and serve meals to residents.
18. Ability to read and understand written materials, such as menus.
19. Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
20. Remember task/assignment for a full shift of 8 hours (AM) or 3 hours (PM).
Personal Protective Equipment Utilized
Gloves.
Other PPE (gowns, masks/eye protection, resuscitation devices) is available should the need arise.
Environmental Conditions
1. Occasional exposure to blood, body tissues, or fluids.
2. Work is generally performed indoors in an environmentally controlled building.
3. Work is occasionally performed outdoors on St. Camillus grounds.
