ENGINEERING FOR PROSPECTIVE ENGINEERS Honors 409

Prerequisite: Algebra 2, Geometry & Statistics

This semester project-based elective is intended for students who believe they would like to pursue Engineering as a career. Students will be introduced to engineering disciplines - Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Environmental Engineering - through rigorous mathematical analysis of the application of scientific concepts. Students will also use the Engineering design process to build, test and evaluate systems and products which meet specified criteria. Math, measurement and spatial reasoning are key components of the work in this course.
