WOMEN’S LITERATURE Honors 156 College Prep 155 2.5 credits

In the immortal words of Beyonce, “Who runs the world? Girls!” Women have a voice and experience in our country’s history that has been left largely unexplored in the English Language Arts curriculum. In this course, students will explore the female voice as represented in a multitude of texts throughout American history. Students will be engaged in the discovery of women’s progress through stories of triumph, sacrifice, struggle, and grit that will lead them to a fuller understanding of what it means to identify as female in today’s world.
