Coursework

MHS Global Scholars earn 4 credits of a World Language plus 4 credits of Global coursework.

Over the course of 4 years, students must complete 4 credits of a single World Language, and 4 credits of Global Coursework. See the drop-down headings below for more information.

You must have a B average in all Global Scholarship courses in order to earn the certificate.

World Language

  • Satisfactory Completion of 4 credits of French or Spanish

  • Can also take both languages but must have 4 credits in at least one language

  • This requirement can also be fulfilled through demonstration of proficiency in another language not offered at MHS, via the Seal of Biliteracy program (see Global Coordinator for information).

Global Scholarship Coursework

Please note that global coursework is separate from language courses. If you believe there is a course at Milton High School that qualifies as being globally-focused (must have a reflective component), please submit the syllabus to the Global Coordinator for review.
