The past month has brought with it great excitement as students continue to enjoy the new book vending machine. Each Friday, every class selects a hard working student to earn a new book. Students have also enjoyed receiving a book for their birthday and if they are chosen as the month's Blue Ribbon Blazer!
Another innovative literacy addition was unveiled this past Friday, March 1st, with the installation and ribbon cutting of our new Little Lending Library! Thank you to our Millbrook Rotary for donating this wonderful way to continue spreading the joy of reading throughout our community.
We are well into the third marking quarter and It's hard to believe Spring is in a few short weeks! With the Spring season comes a time of rebirth and renewal; a time to shake off the winter blues, and welcome the sunshine! I don't know about you, but I find Spring to be a good time to reevaluate some of my New Year goals, and determine what Spring goals I want to accomplish. One of the ways I try and ensure I tackle my goals is by writing them down! This Spring, I've decided to create my first ever vision board. A vision board is a helpful visual tool used to set the goals you'd like to achieve. It can help you bring awareness to what matters most so you focus on the right things. What goals would be on your list or vision board?

All of Elm Drive Elementary is shouting out a great big thank you to Ms. Cring and the High School Art Club!
Our incredible new mural represents all we are here in Elm Drive. Trees are often viewed as symbols of growth and life, strength and resilience, wisdom and knowledge, and transformation and change. Each student and teacher in Elm Drive has their name written on a leaf of their own.
Our Little Lending Library has been installed, and no better day to do it than the Friday before Read Across America Week! Thank you to the Millbrook Rotary for their generous little library donation.

Thank you to all of the parent and PTO volunteers who made this event possible. A special shout-out to Ms. Mattes at the Millbrook High School for all of her help with the set-up and lighting which made the event that much more magical!
