December News from Elm Drive
December News from Elm Drive
It's hard to believe we are already in the month of December! Elm students and staff have accomplished a tremendous amount within the first few months of school. With the support of various instructional coaches, teachers have been able to take an even deeper dive into personalizing instruction to ensure it's tailored to each student's needs. With 3 full months of school behind us, our students are well into the routine and structure of the school day, curriculum, and transitioning during W.I.N. cycles.
Holiday spirit is in the air along with the cooler weather. Though the weather outside is frightful, please remember to dress warm to feel delightful! Students still enjoy outside play during these cooler winter months, therefore, please remember hats, gloves, scarfs, etc.,
During this holiday season, it's important to keep in mind that the best gifts don't have to be expensive! One of the best gifts to give your family is the gift of time. Try spending time playing a board game, taking a nature walk, visiting a local library, baking and decorating cookies, to name just a few. The holiday season is all about giving, and time together can be better than anything wrapped up in a bow!
