As a youth, Mike Bird was a good student, a fine athlete, and a college graduate from Ohio Wesleyan. As an adult, Mike cared first and foremost about his family. He stepped up to coach Branson and Colton in their sports activities, stayed on top of their school work and loved Nikki deeply. Then in the prime of his life, Mike was stricken with the dreaded C disease. He fought valiantly for over three years, but eventually the cancer could not be stopped.
We created The Mike Bird Fund to “Fight Back at Cancer.” We want to raise awareness for earlier testing; raise funds to support research that will help others; and honor Mike’s memory with a golfing event, as he loved to play the sport.
Since 2021, The Mike Bird Fund has generated $150,000, which went to support the Cleveland Clinic, the Prostate Cancer Foundation, and the Village Project. Your participation will help us build on this success!
