On December 19th, 2022 I traveled to Salt Lake City near the beautiful mountains of Utah for the first of three clinical assessments I will take during my time at MCU. Completion and fulfillment of this assessment marks the end of my phase one or Observe phase. Next, I move into phase two, which is Assist. Several friends back at home helped care for my three children while my partner and I flew to Utah. Some wonderful friends hosted us in their apartment and kindly drove us around the city for three whole days during our trip. I was able to w meet several of the people I have come to admire and rely on in the MCU community, from Alaska, California, Maine, South Dakota, and more. The assessment itself was a great personal challenge. I was nervous and unsure of what to expect. I passed and was able to receive valuable feedback on strengths and areas of improvement. It was an extremely positive experience. Having the opportunity to meet phase 3 students there for the last time was wonderful, in addition to meeting some of my teachers and peers. -Tori
