Cooperative Learning is the instructional use of small groups of students working together to maximize their own and each other’s learning in order to achieve a common goal. Cooperative Learning is characterized by: simultaneous promotive interaction, individual and group accountability, positive interdependence, equal participation, and appropriate use of social skills.
