"Young Christians in Action", or YCIA as they liked to be called, is for youngsters from school P7 through to S6.

The Group is not running every Sunday at the moment as it depends on how many youngsters are available each week, so if you are interested please contact the Church Office first to check if it's running.

The Group meets on a Sunday morning, with a break for the school holidays.

Where possible it meets for breakfast and lively discussion in the Garden Room, Harcourt Road at 9.15am. This is very informal and great fun. Breakfast consists of hot dogs, muffins, and occasionally doughnuts! It’s a chance to meet up, discuss topics of interest and for the youngsters to express their views and thoughts.

After breakfast the Group attends the first part of the Church service. If you cannot make breakfast, then just join the Group up at the Church at 10:30am. After the first part of the Service, the Group leaves for the youngsters to continue their own activities.

The Group sometimes organises it's own service – often involving the Sunday Club. They like to take a different slant on traditional activities – one year was Christmas with the Aliens which was a big hit with the Congregation. They also participate in fundraising activities, which have included bag packing/car washing to raise funds for Malawi (they raised over £2,000) and if enough of them play a musical instrument they have been known to put on a musical performance or two for the Congregation.
