Information for current S1 students

S1 students will continue to study a broad rage of subjects within their S2 curriculum.  However students will be required to make two course choices which they will study in S2. 

The first subject they will select is the Modern Language that they would like to specialise in within S2.  Throughout S1 students have been learning both French and Spanish but in S2 they will specialise in one Modern Language.  There will be an opportunity from S3 upwards if students want to specialise in a second Modern Language.

The second course choice that will be selected is an Elective subject.  This is an opportunity to study differently in an area you are interested in, which will build your skills and knowledge whilst working with others.   Elective courses will run on one afternoon a week and the courses available will be shared during PSE lessons and a link will be available on this page when course choice starts.    A list with details of each Elective subject offered can be found here.

The course choice forms will be issued to students by their House Teams to allow them to complete it with a parent/carer at home.  Students will be supported and shown how to complete the form during their PSE lessons.
