High School

Construction on the grounds of Mid-Buchanan R-V includes the following items:

• Addition of wing on the north side of the high school which will run parallel to the gym and includes state-of-the-art science labs, a new Family and Consumer Sciences room, new Art room, and additional classrooms.

• Lower level of wing addition to include nearly 4 full wrestling mats and weightroom/fitness facility

• Secure entrance

• Office remodel including centralizing all administrative and counseling staff

• Greenhouse addition

The first stage of construction is always the messiest. Crews have been working to remove pavement and move dirt to prepare for construction of the new wing. Construction has impacted parking and travel around the building. This wing will hopefully be completed by the fall of 2023.

Great progress has taken place as work has continued on the new addition to the high school. At this point, footings have been completed and walls are beginning to be poured. The pictures below feature work completed up to January 3, 2023.
