Feather Weldon is a freelance professional dancer, choreographer, dance educator, and MFA Dance candidate at the University of Arizona. Most recently, she has danced with MadJax Dance Company, Ballet Legato, American Neoclassical Ballet, and as a second company member of Ad Deum Dance Company. Feather holds a BA with a Business Cognate in Dance from The University of Akron, where in addition to her classical training, she had the opportunity to learn from renowned guest artists such as Bill T. Jones/ Arnie Zane Dance Company, Les Ballets Jazz de Montréal, Aspen Santa Fe Ballet, Groundworks Dance Theatre, and Alexandre Munz. 

Prior to attending UA, Feather received the majority of her training from The Otto M. Budig Academy of the Cincinnati Ballet under Mishic and Val Liberatore, and Tevlin Ballet Company, under Michael and Amy Tevlin. 

Feather has been blessed to perform with many different companies including Cincinnati Ballet, Dayton Ballet, Ohio Contemporary Ballet formerly Verb Ballets, Dissonance Dance Theatre, Charlottesville Ballet, Trutek Dance Company, and Zion Dance Project. 

She has also choreographed for a variety of different studios and schools, creating solos, ensemble works, concert length pieces, and even contributing her choreography towards full length ballets. In addition to dancing & teaching, Feather is a classically certified Pilates Instructor. She loves to cultivate the joy of dance in each of her students and believes everyone should have the chance to dance.

Rehearsal assistant for faculty choreographic works. Choreographed a piece that was accepted into the Rocky Mountain Choreography Festival.

Rogues Hollow Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps, Choreographer, Doylestown, OH

Choreographed Fosse-style jazz-inspired movement for the corps as well as taught them basic dance technique and cleaned choreography for the color guard for their DCA Competition Show, Groovin’, which won them the title of Class A Champions at the DCA finals.

October 2017- May 2018  

Created a creative movement class for pre-k kids ages 2-5 for CBA’s satellite program at International School of Charlottesville. Taught jazz, tap, and ballet to at risk youth in Charlottesville Public Schools ranging in age from 7-9 years old. Worked privately with a local gymnast to clean up her floor routine.
