MHRD Alumni Mentorship Program

About the Program

The Alumni Mentorship Program provides an opportunity for interested alumni (and other adult community members) to interact with students whose coursework is relevant to their work and life experiences.

This program provides students with the ability to gain professional insight from their Guest Speaker's unique experiences, as well as allowing the Speaker to help enrich the classroom environment.

If you are interested in becoming a Guest Speaker or an interested teacher who would like to take advantage of the opportunities provided by this program, please check out the Get Involved page.

For more information and specific details, feel free to continue below. Please visit the FAQ page for more answers to common questions.

  • Make a difference by impacting a class full of students and imparting wisdom from your real-world experiences

  • Obtain community service hours for college or corporate needs

  • Inspire students with similar interests

  • Expand your network by connecting with students and other alumni from a variety of backgrounds

How will Students and Teachers benefit from participating in AMP?

Students who participate will be given the opportunity to benefit from guidance and practical insight into both their high school and professional careers, all from the setting of their classrooms. They will also be able to start practicing professional etiquette and skills that are necessary for professional settings.

Teachers will be helping their students by giving them access to Speakers who can reinforce the lessons they learn in the classroom by supplementing with real-life examples from their professional lives.
