About Murray Hill Chinese School Taiwan Center for Mandarin Learning

Murray Hill Chinese School Taiwan Center for Mandarin Learning (MHCS TCML) was founded in July 2021. Taiwan Center for Mandarin Learning (TCML) is a global program with a regionally-focused curriculum. The campus at Murray Hill Chinese School welcomes all adults who are 18 & older and are interested in learning Mandarin to join our exciting new TCML program. Our programs are fun. They focus on real-life conversation via situational curriculum design. It’s never too late to learn a new language. So come learn Mandarin with MHCS.

TCML History:

In October, 2020, the US Federal Government announced the National Security Language Initiative for Youth (NSLI-Y) with emphasis on Mandarin learning opportunities outside of China. In December, 2020, the U.S. -Taiwan Education Initiative was signed between the U.S. and Taiwan. In response to this initiative, the Overseas Community Affairs Council, Republic of China (Taiwan) (OCAC, Taiwan) has implemented the Taiwan Center for Mandarin Learning (TCML) Establishment Program in USA & Europe in 2021. As of December, 2021, there are total of 18 TCML set up in USA & Europe; 15 are in USA & 3 in Europe. MHCS is honored to be chosen by OCAC to establish TCML in the 1st phase of TCML establishment plan in 2021. We are one of the two TCML in the greater New York & New Jersey Area.
