MHause
Integrative Medicine | Therapy
Have you ever left a therapist's office (or doctor’s office) and felt you weren’t heard or really listened to, and it was a complete waste of your time?
Did you get the blank stare (“Like hello, are you awake”)?
Did you know anything about your therapist or were they completely closed off and didn’t share anything about their life?
If you were wondering if your therapist really was listening to you or are they thinking about their grocery list, taking a nap, etc., then therapy with me will really be a different experience. I sure had those experiences when I went through my own trauma therapy years ago and I swore to myself if I ever became a therapist I would be exactly the opposite of the traditional therapist, the “how does that make you feel” kind of therapist.
Don’t get me wrong, I still ask that sometimes just to mess around because I like to joke.

A Full Experience
Hi there! My name is Misty Hause and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), Clinically Certified Trauma Professional (CCTP), and Certified in Integrative Medicine for Mental Health (CIMPH).
I am a trauma survivor as well as someone who deals with autoimmune issues. My life experiences have led me to where I am now in life and have shaped not only who I am as a person but how I work in my practice.
Since I am a survivor, I have been through therapy, and I know what it’s like to have a good therapist and one who maybe should have chosen a different career path.
After over 25 years working primarily in child abuse, domestic and sexual violence as well as chronic medical health issues (specifically autoimmune diseases), I know the extremely strong correlation with chronic medical issues, (like autoimmune) and trauma. Research also supports this correlation.
