Welcome to Mrs. Lake's 5th Grade!

I am SO EXCITED to return for my third year in 5th grade at EMIS! I began my educational career in 2008. I received my Master’s degree and certification in Childhood Education 1-6 from Utica College of Syracuse University in New York. I’ve been fortunate enough to hold various roles in my teaching journey. I began as an elementary school librarian and computer teacher. I later became a Pre-GED teacher helping students obtain their high school diploma. I’ve lived in Mooresville for over 3 years with my amazing husband, two boys, and our dog, Arlo! We love sports, the lake, the beach, and anything outdoors. 

Teaching has always been my passion. Being a child’s teacher is a privilege and I’m truly blessed to have that honor.
