This Privacy Policy applies to The Daily Arts Edit mobile application ("Tdae", "Application", "we", "us", "our") for iOS and Android devices, developed and maintained by The Daily Arts Edit as a Freemium service.
This policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use Tdae. By downloading, installing, or using the Application, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Application.

Payments are processed by Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android)
We receive confirmation of purchases (subscription type, purchase date) but not your full payment details

Precise GPS location of your device
Contacts or address book
Photos or camera access (unless you choose to upload a profile photo)

Your data is stored on secure servers provided by Firebase (Google Cloud)
We retain your data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable period thereafter
Purchased Pay-Per-Post content records are retained to verify your access rights
Subscription records are retained as required for billing and legal compliance
If you request deletion of your account and data, we will process it within 30 days
Some data may be retained longer if required by law

Marketing emails: Use the unsubscribe link in any email we send
Google Analytics: Opt out via Google's opt-out tools
9. Bookmarks & Reading History
Your bookmarks and reading history are stored in your account to sync across devices
This data is used to personalize your experience and restore your saved content
Deleting your account will permanently remove your bookmarks and reading history
We do not share your individual reading history with third parties
10. Push Notifications
Tdae may send push notifications about new content, subscription updates, or important announcements
You can enable or disable notifications at any time in your device settings
Disabling notifications will not affect your ability to use the Application
11. Children's Privacy
The Application is not directed to children under the age of 13
We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13
If we discover that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will immediately delete it from our servers
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@thedailyartsedit.com and we will take immediate action
12. Device Security
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and access to the Application
We strongly advise against jailbreaking (iOS) or rooting (Android) your device, as this may:
Expose your device to malware and security vulnerabilities
Compromise the Application's security features
Cause the Application to malfunction or stop working entirely
13. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information including:
Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
Secure Firebase infrastructure (Google Cloud)
Access controls limiting who can access your data
Regular security assessments
However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information.
14. iOS Specific — Apple
For iOS users:
Payments and subscriptions are managed by Apple and subject to Apple's Privacy Policy
Sign-in with Apple or Google Sign-In data is governed by Apple's and Google's respective privacy policies
Push notifications on iOS require your explicit permission
We use Apple's standard frameworks and follow Apple's App Store privacy guidelines
15. Android Specific — Google
For Android users:
Payments and subscriptions are managed by Google Play and subject to Google's Privacy Policy
Google Sign-In data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy
We comply with Google Play's data safety requirements
