On page 143 in the Homework and Remembering Math Book, use the data in the charts provided to answer the questions. Make sure to discuss what each chart is showing (how many sunny, rainy and cloudy days this month, and how many telephone calls Nadia, Julio and Adam received this week). Remember fewer means less! Before answering the questions, write how many of each category there are to the right of the graph. (9 sunny days, 8 cloudy days, 5 rainy days) Answer questions 1-6.
Review root words and endings, a root word is the base word such as jump and an ending you can add would be –ed or –ing. Changing it to jumped or jumping. The spelling pattern would be to double the last letter before adding an ending to the word. We know to double the last letter because it is a one syllable word and it have one short vowel sound followed by one consonant. Complete activity page 89 & 90.
