Listen to "George Washington Commander in Chief"
On page 179 in the Student Activity Math Book look at what puzzled penguin wrote and fix his error. Remember fewer means less. Complete page 180 by sorting the animals and using circles in the chart to show how many dogs and cats there are. Don’t forget to write the numerical amount of dogs and cats to the right of the chart. Answer question 4 by writing the correct number (2) and circling the correct word to complete the sentences. Complete numbers 1-5 (your child should be able to add these numbers independently. If they need help, remind them to use a strategy to help them. Counting on, using their fingers, drawing circles etc.)
Today you will be working with the /ng/ sound. Say ng several times, ask if it is a vowel or consonant sound? Answer- Consonant because mouth is closed. Two examples of this sound and different spellings are sing and pink. This sound is very tricky to hear sometimes and also to identify in words. Complete activity book page 79.

How would you describe George Washington’s army? (They had no military experience and few supplies.)
What happened on Christmas day in 1776? (George Washington and his men rowed across the Delaware River and launched a surprise attack on the British. It was a victory.)
