On page 181 in the Student Activity Book, talk about what each chart is showing. (How many eggs each chicken laid this month, how many frogs, fish and ducks are in the pond, and home many hot dogs Eric Miranda and Adam sold at the fair). After you discuss each chart, write how many are in each category to the right of the charts. Talk about who laid the most eggs, what kind of animal there are more of in the pond, and what person sold the most hot dogs at the fair. Talk about what chicken laid the fewest (least amount) of eggs, what animal is the fewest in the pond and what person sold the fewest hot dogs. Ask the following questions, How many fewer eggs did Daisy lay than Vanilla? How many more eggs did Vanilla lay than Clucker? How many more eggs did Daisy lay than Clucker? How many more fish are there than ducks? How many fewer ducks are there than frogs? How many more hot dogs did Eric sell than Adam? How many fewer hot dogs did Adam sell then Miranda?
Review the /ng/ sound and complete activity page 83 to sort the words by their spelling, they all say /ng/.

How did General Washington win the war? (He trapped the British at Yorktown, surrounding them with the combined efforts of his army on land and the French ships at sea.)
Who was Martha Washington? (George Washington’s wife) How did she show patriotism during the war? (She brought food and clothing to his troops and camped out with them in their field tents.)
