What is an ESF?
Emergency Support Functions (ESFs)
The Federal Government and many state governments organize their response resources and capabilities under the ESF construct. ESF Annexes describe the Federal coordinating structures that group resources and capabilities into functional areas that are most frequently needed in a national response.

What is ESF-8?
Emergency Support Function 8 – Public Health and Medical Services provides the mechanism for coordinating the resources necessary to respond to potential or actual public health and medical disasters and/or emergencies.
