Gonorrhea is a bacterial infection that is often found with Chlamydia. It is also called "the clap" or "the drip." There may be few signs of this infection.
The most common symptoms of gonorrhea include:
- discharge from the vagina or penis
- pain when you pee
- abdominal pain
- pain with sex
It is treated with antibiotics and all partners must be treated. If left untreated, it can cause PID, infertility and arthritis in both males and females.
