You're invited to join us for the 12th annual Red Mountain Halloween Extravaganza!
Please save the date for 10/31/25 from 5:30-8:30 pm.
This is a community trick-or-treat event that happens on Halloween night, and it is a chance for the families in our community to have a safe, fun place for their kids to trick-or-treat...and it provides us a great opportunity to open up our beautiful campus to our neighbors.
Here's what we will need from our community to help make the event another smashing success:
Candy donations: This event relies very heavily on candy donations from our campus community, both Red Mountain and Southern/Dobson. Donations can be delivered to the Student Life office at either campus, or the Instructional Suport offices at Red Mountain. Receipt of donation will be provided for those receiving extra credit. *No gum accepted.
Themed Trick-or-Treat booths: We will be looking for 25-30 different groups (student groups, departments, clubs, etc) who are willing to organize and staff a themed booth. Those running the booth will be responsible for coming up with a theme, decorations, costumes, and an activity that kids can do at their table. There have been so many creative booths over the years, and we can't wait to see what our campus community and our students come up with this time!
This event is only possible because of the support of the MCC community. Thanks in advance!
The next distribution takes place on Wednesday, October 1 at the Southern and Dobson campus. Distribution runs from 10 am-12 pm, while supplies last.
Mesa Community College is proud to partner with United Food Bank to offer twice monthly, free food distributions for MCC students, staff and the community.
These distributions take place on the first and third Wednesday of the month throughout the academic year (with some exceptions noted on the schedule). The first Wednesday takes place at the Southern/Dobson campus in the Navajo Room, and the third Wednesday happens at Red Mountain in the circle driveway on the south side of the Desert Willow building (this is a drive through distribution with walk up service available).
Please spread the word about this useful resource! The next Red Mountain distribution happens on October 15.
Student Life, MCC Library, and the CCCE will be hosting a Zine Workshop centered around mindfulness practices and coping mechanisms for stress.
Discuss and create a Zine on coping mechanisms for stress and mindfulness practices.
What's a Zine? A Zine is a do-it-yourself paper booklet that you can completely customize to express yourself creatively.
