About Mrs. June
This is Mrs. June's 5th year teaching in the Manalapan-Englishtown School District.
Violin is her main instrument, and she began playing when she was only 5 years old. However, she loves playing and teaching ALL of the string instruments in the orchestra. If she had to choose a second favorite instrument after violin, she would choose the cello.
Mrs. June graduated from the Crane School of Music in Potsdam, NY with a degree in Music Education and violin performance. In her final year of college, she was concertmaster of the Crane Symphony Orchestra (this means she was the leader of the orchestra, after the conductor).
Some of Mrs. June's favorite performance memories include playing at Carnegie Hall with the Sussex County Youth Orchestra, and performing at Avery Fisher Hall with the Crane Symphony Orchestra. Mrs. June is still an active performer in orchestras in the surrounding area including the Monmouth Symphony Orchestra, Sinfonietta Nova in West Windsor. She also recently founded a string quartet called Four Shore Strings, performing for weddings and special events in the Central Jersey Area.
