P.E. Standards of expectation
class standards AND BEHAVIOR INDICATORS during physical education as follows:
STANDARD 1 - Exhibit satisfactory PREPARATION prior to engaging in physical education games and activities
Arrive to class on time, OR with a written pass, if late
Sit down in assigned squad spot during attendance without redirection
Athletic sneakers were worn and tied properly throughout the class period
Long hair was tied back and secured to prevent a hindrance to vision or movement
Jewelry such as necklaces, bracelets, rings and earring were removed
STANDARD 2 - Demonstrate behavior and/or action that reflects adequate PARTICIPATION during physical education games and activities
Fully engaged and moving throughout the warm up activity AND while performing locomotor skills
Evidence of AGILITY, BALANCE, COORDINATION, SPEED, POWER and REACTIONS were demonstrated, both in practice and within game settings
Appropriate effort is indicated by achieving ELEVATED HEART RATE, RESPIRATION and BODY TEMPERATURE
Utilized and implemented OFFENSIVE AND DEFENSIVE game strategies and tactics, as needed
Moved safely and cautiously, with appropriate control of their own body. Did not endanger self or classmates
STANDARD 3 - Express RESPONSIBLE PERSONAL and SOCIAL BEHAVIOR that regards self and others positively
Attentive to ALL instructions / directions provided during the class period
Made appropriate decisions that did not warrant correction or redirection from the teacher
Assisted / encouraged peers that required help
Accepted diversity of ability / skill among classmates
Resolved conflict calmly and in a positive manner
