We are very creative in speech therapy. Check out our beautiful art work below. We use our language and thinking skills to make connections to the stories we read.
We read The Chocolate Chip Ghost by Meighan Peifer. It's about ghosts who turn into the color of the food they eat. We made ghosts who ate our favorite foods!
We read the book, The Legend of Spookley the Square Pumpkin, by Joe Troiano. Spookley is a square pumpkin who was different from all the other pumpkins in the pumpkin patch. The other pumpkins tease him for being square until Spookley shows how being different can save the day! We drew a picture of Spookley and talked about our favorite part of the story.
We read Where Is My Mummy ? by Carolyn Crimi. Baby Mummy gets scared by a mouse and his mama mummy hugs him to help him feel better. We drew pictures of our mommies making us feel better when we are scared.
We read the book Turkey Trouble by Wendi Silvano. It is about a turkey who disguises himself as different animals so he won't become Thanksgiving dinner. We made pictures of costumes we would wear to hide from Farmer Jake.
