The event is presented by the Meridian Band Boosters and features the outstanding Meridian High School Jazz Ensemble. Please join us for an evening filled with jazz music, catered dinner, silent auction, raffle, and grand prize drawing.

All proceeds support the Meridian Instrumental Music Department for continued education for students of all ages.

To OUR Community,

This past month has brought much devastation, heartache and many tears to our village and surrounding areas. During this time, we have witnessed the destruction of our family and friends homes, as well as the “(hopefully temporary) closure” of our local businesses. Many of these families and small business owners have regularly supported the band program at Meridian, and our heart breaks for them.

Between the flooding and the coronavirus pandemic, our community has been hit hard. In order to respect the significant financial toll our families have experienced this year, the 12th Annual Meridian Jazz Dinner/Dance has been cancelled. We appreciate the support you have shown as we attempted to reschedule twice to navigate through the stay at home orders and know that you have been extremely understanding and supportive during this process. For this we thank you!

Many of our sponsorships for this event come from those businesses that have had to evacuate their buildings, throw out their destroyed inventory and begin the painful process of rebuilding their storefronts. If you would like to donate the proceeds from your ticket sales to aid in the rebuilding of our community, we have established the Meridian Jazz Dinner/Dance Flood Relief Fund. 100% of the money from these donations will be used to help these businesses and families that have supported our program for so many years.

If you would prefer that the money be sent back to you, our band booster organization will begin that process in the next few weeks. We understand that you may be one of those families or businesses that have been hit especially hard by this pandemic and/or flooding and we want to assist you in whatever way we are able.

We are extremely grateful for the staff at the Great Hall Banquet & Convention Center and their flexibility throughout this entire process. Their professionalism and sensitivity to this situation further solidifies what we already believed to be a first-class establishment. We are happy to announce that next year’s Meridian Jazz Dinner/Dance has been booked for April 10, 2021. It is our belief that with your support, this event will be the biggest and most successful in our 13 year history of this fundraiser!
