Hi, my name is Merlyne Pierre, pronounced (mur-leen pee-air), and I will be your coach during your time at Merit America! I am a believer of transformative change, which means we will work together to further enhance your mindset, confidence, and professional skills that will help you in so that you transition into a new IT career.

My approach to coaching is 1) aligned to the International Coaching Federation (ICF) core competencies and 2) founded on the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) core principles , which means our work together will be fueled through active listening, asking powerful questions, collaboration, and identifying the strengths and resources you need to move towards action. Using these skills, I am committed to being your guide throughout your caeer journey - you are the driver. I am energized to meet you and get to work!

I am a second generation Haitian immigrant, born in Miami, and raised in Boston. I moved to Washington, D.C. in the Fall of 2019, because just like you I wanted to grow in my career. I was hired at the beginning of the pandemic, and hit the ground running. My time at Merit America has been one of learning constantly and enjoying the ride. My favorite part about being a coach is witnessing learners grow.

When my super heroine cape is up, I'm being a human jukebox exploring the oldies but goodies on Spotify, dabbling in candid photography, writing, dancing, and meditating.
