Meridian Hill Baptist Church is led by a titan in ministry, Dr. Calvin E. Cage Sr. Installed in 1990, Pastor Cage is only the second pastor in Meridian Hill's ninety year history, having served under our founder Rev. McIntyre while he studied at Howard University's College of Divinity. In his thirty years of ministry, Pastor Cage has expanded the service mission of Meridian Hill, opening our church doors to service all members of our community, from the homeless person to the immigrant to the man or the woman next door.
Our historic church home in the Mt. Pleasant neighborhood of Washington, D.C. served as the base of our ministerial work from 1967 to 2008.
In 2008, a three-alarm fire destroyed our church. Services have since moved to Chapel Oaks, Maryland.
