Spring Break Camp 2019:

ALADDIN, JR!

Disney’s Aladdin JR. is based on the 1992 Academy-Award®-winning film and the 2014 hit Broadway show about the “diamond in the rough” street rat who learns that his true worth lies deep within.

The story you know and love has been given the royal treatment! Aladdin and his three friends, Babkak, Omar, and Kassim, are down on their luck until Aladdin discovers a magic lamp and the Genie who has the power to grant three wishes. Wanting to earn the respect of the princess, Jasmine, Aladdin embarks on an adventure that will test his will and his moral character. With expanded characters, new songs, and more thrills, this new adaptation of the beloved story will open up “a whole new world” for young performers!

AUDITIONS

Saturday, March 16th at Idaho Fine Arts Academy at 10:30AM

3467 W Flint Dr, Eagle, ID 83616

Doors will open to the facility at 10:15AM. All participants are required to audition and will need to sing at least 16 measures of a song (preferably with a minus track, but a cappella is acceptable), choreography (learned at the audition) and possible cold line readings.

Wear comfortable clothes/shoes for the choreography section. You will be expected to be memorized during your singing audition, so start learning lyrics now. Pick a song you feel comfortable performing, and is in your range. When in doubt, sing Happy Birthday! We will be looking for confidence, volume, preparedness and enthusiasm, but the most important thing about auditioning is to have fun! Remember, no previous theatre experience is necessary for this program.
