Summer Break 2019:

FROZEN, JR!

The enchanting modern classic from Disney is ready for your Broadway Junior stars! Frozen JR. is based on the 2018 Broadway musical, and brings Elsa, Anna, and the magical land of Arendelle to life, onstage. The show features all of the memorable songs from the animated film, with music and lyrics by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, plus five new songs written for the Broadway production.

A story of true love and acceptance between sisters, Frozen JR. expands upon the emotional relationship and journey between Princesses Anna and Elsa. When faced with danger, the two discover their hidden potential and the powerful bond of sisterhood. With a cast of beloved characters and loaded with magic, adventure, and plenty of humor, Frozen JR. is sure to thaw even the coldest heart!

In our Summer Break camp, we cast approximately 65 local kids who rehearse for one week. At the end of the week, they perform a full hour-long musical, complete with set, props, costumes, singing and dancing! It's a lot of hard work, but it's a blast!

AUDITIONS

Saturday, June 8th at Centennial High School's Little Theatre

12400 W McMillan Rd, Boise, ID 83713

Doors will open to the facility at 10:15AM, and auditions will start at 10:30AM. All participants are required to audition and will need to sing at least 16 measures of a song (preferably with a minus track, but a cappella is acceptable), choreography (learned at the audition) and possible cold line readings.

Wear comfortable clothes/shoes for the choreography section. You will be expected to be memorized during your singing audition, so start learning lyrics now. For this show, due to the ambitious musical score, we are requesting that auditioners sing from Frozen! Minus/karaoke tracks can be found on YouTube. Ladies, please consider singing Let It Go or For The First Time In Forever. Gentlemen, please consider singing In Summer or Reindeer Are Better Than People. You can start your audition anywhere you choose during the song, not necessarily the beginning. Please note, you are not required to sing from Frozen for the audition, but strongly encouraged!

We will be looking for confidence, volume, preparedness and enthusiasm, but the most important thing about auditioning is to have fun! Remember, no previous theatre experience is necessary for this program.
