In an effort to simplify the application ecosystem at MISD, we have migrated from Zoom to Google Meet as our main remote meeting software. Below will be your guide to becoming familiar with this software.
To schedule a meeting go to your calendar and select the date and time of the meeting.
On the event details pop-up, click the "Add Google Meet Video Conferencing" button.
The details and link for the Google meet will not appear in the event details.
Select the gear icon to set host controls (discussed in next section)
If you want to set a meeting to only be available upon request or want direct control over the link when scheduling select "Create a meeting for later"
This will give you a link you can copy and send directly to meeting participants or save it somewhere for when you need it!Â
Important Host Control Settings (Be sure to select "Save")
This will give you access to host controls and the ability to appoint co-hosts
Open: Allows anyone in immediately
Trusted: People within MISD will join immediately. Everyone else will be placed in a waiting room
Restricted: Everyone is put into the waiting room automatically
Navigate to the Guests tab and type in the name of your co-host (must have already added them as a guest)
Be sure to Select "Save" to keep all your changes to the meeting settings
