Mr. Rivas

Welcome to the 2020-21 school year! I am Mr. Rivas and I will be your Study Skills teacher for this year. In this class, we will be covering different areas of subjects that you are taking, along with learning about college and career choices. I will help answer any questions you have on your assignments from your other classes and stay in contact with your teachers to make sure you have the best chance at success.

A little about myself. I am married to a beautiful and awesome woman. We have four awesome children who are great, even when they are not that awesome. I have three dogs and one cat. I graduated from Fresno State with my Bachelors degree and am currently attending Fresno Pacific University. I like to stay active by exercising, going on trips with my family, and learning and playing my guitar. I even like to do some gaming from time to time.

I love to teach and love the challenges that come with teaching. We all have different starting points in our lives and with our education. The goal is to take on those challenges and finish; no matter how difficult those challenges or life may be. We are the only ones that can hold ourselves back from achieving our goals and dreams. My goal is to help you learn, retain what you are being taught, and to be there for you to help you succeed. Lets have a great 2020-21 school year during these different times and have some fun.
