Primary Counselor

Dear Parents,

We celebrated World Kindness Day on November 13. Student Council prepared a bag of treats for the primary school administration team and the teachers with kind words. Our homeroom teachers talked about World Kindness/Caring Day in their classrooms.

Our November focus is the PYP Profile of "Thinker"; I think, before I act. Student Council led an assembly about that on November 17.

November 20 is Children' Rights Day. The purpose was to increase the awareness of students on their rights and how to protect their rights by taking responsibilities.

November PSE units

Grade 5 worked on people from history who still impact our daily lives, they searched for information, they focused on the people's accomplishments and PYP learner profile and attitudes. They prepared presentations and shared them with their classmates.

Grade 4 worked on decision making and problem solving skills in groups and they expressed those skills via role-plays.

Grade 3 worked on friendship traits and friendship skills and they expressed those skills via role-plays.

Grade 2 worked on self- identity. They created their "All about Me Booklets".

Grade 1 worked on celebrations in the world and they created their "Celebration Booklets".

Kindergarten worked on community helpers and they created a booklet on how they can be responsible for their communities.

Pre-K and Pre-S have started to work on imagination and creativity and they have been using those skills to produce lovely work.
