A screen shot is like taking a picture of your computer screen. At times it may be helpful to send your teacher a picture of what is on your computer screen. To take a screen shot of your Chromebooks do the following steps:
Press the ctrl and show windows button at the same time. This will take the picture.
The ctrl button is clearly marked on the bottom row of the keyboard.
The show windows button is located on the top row directly above the number 6 and looks like a square with two lines next to it.
The picture will be automatically saved to your Google Drive.
To right click on the screen simply press or tap with 2 fingers on the touch-pad.
To Snap means to move your screen over to the side. This will allow you to have two windows open at the same time. One window will be on the right and the other on the left. This is helpful if you need to see two screens at the same time. Follow these instructions to snap your windows:
Select the first window that you want to snap and press the alt and [ buttons at the same time. This will move your screen to the left. The [ button is located on your keyboard next the letter p.
Then select the other window that you want to snap and press the alt and ] buttons at the same time. This will move the screen to the right.
You should now be able to see both screens at the same time!
To delete click on the backspace and the alt button at the same time.
The Waffle refers to the nine dots located in the upper right hand corner of your computer screen when you are on the Google Drive. (The nine dots kind of look like a waffle or a grid.) Click on those dots to access all of the Google programs such as: Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Classroom, and much more!
