a. An analysis of the alteration of perception of art through technology and social media
b. A website with pictures of art, physical art (prints and stuff), and a survey to see which people prefer
c. Decipher whether people prefer viewing art through technology or through physical means
2. Why are we doing it? What is the problem or opportunity?
a. In our increasingly digital world it is important to understand how different artistic mediums are changing. Therefore we must study whether physical art will be replaced by digital art.
3. Who is it really for? And why should they care?
a. This is for the general population so they can understand that art in person can be different than viewing the same art online.
b. Through digital art they may not be getting the full artistic experience and this project will allow them to see the differences between physical and digital art.
4. Where and how will it be used? When?
a. In the classroom for the final project in December.
b. If people enjoy the idea and feel the need to recreate it they can do so based on our website which has all of the relevant information.
5. Who will become engaged with it directly and indirectly?
a. Our class will be directly engaged with it through the classroom gallery, while the world of social media will engage with it indirectly if they find our website or our Instagram page.
6. How will it be remembered and retold?
a. People remember better by doing so when they experience viewing art in two different ways they will remember that when viewing art online, or deciding whether or not to go to an art gallery.
7. What needs to be done? By whom? By when?
a. We need to make a website displaying the art, a survey asking questions about how people feel about said art, and print out pieces of art to use.
b. We will both be able to work on the website, Matt will be able to formulate a survey, and Connor can find art to use on the website, and identical prints to use.
