The positive cases in our schools is an important number, but it is a single factor that helps make up the whole picture of our district and its ability to provide students with a safe learning environment. A sample of additional factors used to make decisions on our learning models are:
staffing needs and abilities
operations management
transportation readiness
Minnesota Department of Education guidance
Minnesota Department of Health guidance
contact tracing capabilities
building population
abilities to facilitate social distancing
To our families, please know that this is an evolving situation and we are monitoring all factors involved to make decisions in the best interest of our students’ health, safety and education.
Please keep students and siblings home when COVID-19 symptoms occur or are waiting for COVID-19 test results. Contact the school and report the absence and the reason for the absence. Students/families should report a positive case to their school during the school day.
