Ms. Breneman

Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year! My name is Samantha Breneman, and this will be my 6th year teaching. I taught first grade for 3 years in Colorado, spent 2 years teaching kindergarten here at MAES, and now I am thrilled to be back in the first grade world! I am so excited for all the exploring, learning, and fun we will get to have!

I was born and raised in Denver, Colorado and moved to Wisconsin in the summer of 2024. I have tons of family here in Wisconsin which has always made it a second home to me, and I have loved making it my permanent home! I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in 2021 with a BA in Elementary Education and an endorsement in ESL. I student taught and then taught in Greeley, CO for 3 years before moving to Medford. My fiance Oscar and I live in Owen and have one dog named Trigger (who loves to hunt pheasants), and 2 cats named Asha and Nala. We are busy planning a wedding for the summer of 2027! We love camping, golfing, fishing, hunting, attending country/rock concerts, and spending time with family at Lake Holcombe. 

 I love all things fall, and my favorite holiday is Halloween!  On Sundays you will find me watching football with friends and family- Go Pack Go! During the colder months I enjoy reading, drinking tea, and watching movies (especially binge-watching the Harry Potter movies). I look forward to getting to know all of my students and families, let's have a wonderful year!
