Welcome to Skyline Elementary Physical Education
Home of the STORM!
A message from Mr. B!
February is here already, can you believe it?!?!?
Avoid the cold weather blues and remember to move as much as you can if you're stuck inside. There are a lot of options out there to keep moving. Just remember to challenge yourself and of course, HAVE FUN!
Below check out the updated calendars for February AND if you're a kindergarten grade level girl, I still have a few spots left on my basketball team that I am coaching. Let me know if you're interested!
Catch ya in the gym,
Mr. B

Sink My Fitness Battleship
Using the game board document to the left, find a partner to battle it out just like the traditional board game - Battleship!
Set up:
Each player will use their own game board and without showing your opponent, begin by marking five squares where you are placing your fitness battleships. You can do this by marking these five squares by drawing a circle around them or by making a boat shape inside them.
How to play:
Start with Rock, Paper, Scissors to see who goes first. Then, begin by taking turns guessing which square your opponent has hidden/placed their ships, just like the original game. For example, "push-ups 3". If you guess correctly, you collect a point, destroy the ship ("blackout that square"), and do a celebratory burpee. When guessing incorrectly, you do the exercise for that square (i.e. 3 push-ups) and mark the square you guessed with an "X". Then it is your opponents turn. Be sure you mark your guesses on your own board sheet with an "X" on every turn so you always know which squares you have already picked. The player who sinks all five of their opponents battleships, wins! Then play again!
