How to Log into Schoology (Student)

1. The first step is to open the Middlebury Community Schools Homepage, scroll below the picture, and click Student/Staff Schoology.

2.  Schoology should automatically load.

3. If prompted to sign in, tap Sign in with Google and choose your school account.

4. You are done! You should see all of the courses that you are currently enrolled in.

How to Create a Schoology Parent Account

Parents wishing to log onto Schoology to see their student information will need an access code for each student. The access code can be given out by any teacher your student has for class.

Parents will need to create an account on https://www.powerschool.com/classroom/schoology-learning/ You must have a student access code to set up a parent account.

How to Submit an Assignment

1. The first step is to open your course and click the Assignment you want to turn in.

2. Click Submit Assignment

3. Click File, find the file either on your computer, or on your Google Drive and click Open.

4. OR Click Audio/Video Recording. to create an audio or video submission.

5. Select which type of submission and record.

6. Click Submit, once you have attached all documents. 

**You can submit multiple documents/recordings.

7. That's it. You're done. If you want to submit more or resubmit, just follow the steps again.

How to Turn in an Assignment Using Kami

1. The first step is to go to your course and click the assignment you need to complete.

2. Click Open Assignment With Kami

3. Complete the assignment using the tools to the left.

4. When the assignment is complete. Click Turn In

5. Click Turn In

6. Click Submit

How to Check Assignment Grades

1. The first step is to log in to Schoology using your username and password.

**Schoology grades are specific to assignments graded in Schoology. Please refer to your PowerSchool grade for your actual grade in the course.

2. Find the course you are wanting to check an assignment grade in. Click on the course tile.

3. Click Grades located on the left.

4. This is where your grades are located. For more specifics and to see if there are any comments, click on a specific assignment.

Accessing and Using Schoology Lockdown Browser

To take an assessment using the Lockdown browser.

Log into Schoology and navigate to the course assessment.

Entering the Lockdown Browser will exit you out of any open applications, disable right-click on your mouse, keyboard shortcuts, the ability to open new tabs, and other features normally available outside of the Lockdown browser tool.


You must submit your assessment before you can exit the Lockdown Browser.
