Whether you love the holiday or hate it, there's a playlist in this story for you

Ahh, Valentine’s Day… the day that comes every year on February 14th, and has been observed for over 1,000 years. This holiday is seen as a celebration of love and affection, whether it be with a significant other, friends, or family. With Valentine's Day comes all of the feelings surrounding the day, and the different kinds of people who either love the day, couldn’t care less, or have a deep-rooted hatred for the day.
Whichever side you may fall on, I wanted to do my part in spreading the love this season by curating playlists for all of the common tropes you see on Valentine’s Day. I’ve made a selection of 5 songs for a wider audience while also giving my own personal recommendations because I find the way I bond with people is through music. If you love the day, find yourself not really caring either way, or hate everything about Valentine’s Day, there’s a specially-made playlist here for you.
This is a playlist for you and your significant other to listen to while on the way to your nice movie date, or just to listen to while having a private dinner at home. Whatever you and your boo do, I hope you can leave enough love for this playlist.
Your Playlist:
Melting– Kali Uchis
Nothing– Bruno Major
Until I Found You– Stephen Sanchez
Put Your Head on My Shoulder– Paul Anka
Can’t Help Falling in Love– Elvis Presley
My recommendations:
Dedicated To The One I Love– The Mamas & The Papas
Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Goes)– Edison Lighthouse
I Was Made For Lovin’ You– KISS
Sunkissed– Khai Dreams
Life’s a Dream– The Polar Boys
Valentine's Day isn’t for every couple, which is totally fair. There shouldn’t be just one day of the year when you show your significant other how much you love them, it should be every year. While over-the-top shows of affection may not be your thing, I hope you could still appreciate the playlist I’ve curated for you.
Your Playlist:
Somethin’ Stupid– Frank Sinatra
My Funny Valentine– Chet Baker
So My Darling– Rachel Chinouriri
Till Forever Falls Apart– Ashe
Nothing Else Matters– Metallica
My recommendations:
Like Real People Do– Hozier
Sanctuary– Joji
Lost in You– Khai Dreams
Someone To Spend Time With– Los Retros
You’re my world– atlas
Not feeling represented by either of the extremes on Valentine’s Day? No problem at all. You guys tend to be overlooked when it comes to the day of love, and that’s not fair. You guys deserve a playlist, even if you’re neutral on the whole love thing. Just here for the love songs? Got you covered.

Love Story– Taylor Swift
I Don’t Dance– Lee Brice
Honey, Honey– ABBA
Hey Lover– The Daughters Of Eve
Caroline– Sub-Radio
My recommendations:
Hearing Damage– Thom Yorke
Lovers Rock– TV Girl
Little person– Matt Maltese
Something About You– Eyedress
Mrs. Infamous– Palaye Royale
You love love, but you haven’t found yourself in a relationship yet. I’ve been there, the aching feeling you get when you listen to love songs and the wanting of someone you can listen to those songs with. While I haven’t been there in a while, I still listen to a lot of those kinds of songs, so here are those songs for you.
Your Playlist:
Every Breath You Take– The Police
Jessie’s Girl– Rick Springfield
Someone to You– BANNERS
Everyone Adores You (at least I do)– Matt Maltese
Fool– Frankie Cosmos
My recommendations:

Single AND anti-Valentine’s Day? That's fair. Again, the holiday isn’t for everyone and we can’t expect it to be for people that the holiday wasn’t even made around. Either way, you deserve a playlist just like everyone else does, because even if you hate the idea of an overabundance of love, you deserve some appreciation either way.
Your Playlist:
Flowers– Miley Cyrus
Part Of Me– Katy Perry
Good 4 u– Olivia Rodrigo
Crush Culture– Conan Gray
Happier Than Ever– Billie Eilish
My recommendations:
How to Be a Heartbreaker– MARINA
She Had the World - Alternate Version– Panic! At The Disco
Go Your Own Way– Fleetwood Mac
Bye Bye Bye– *NSYNC

No matter where you see yourself this Valentine's Day, I hope you feel seen within this article and within the music I've given you. Have an amazing Valentine's Day!
