MHS celebrates our annual Homecoming
Charley Pierce '24
Homecoming is a very important time for us students at MHS. With so many activities like Homecoming court, the football game, to the actual dance itself. The week can tend to go by super quick and be hard to remember, so here are the best highlights.
One thing many of us get excited for is the new dress up theme for each day of the week. Five days, five different themes, and lots of creative outfits. Muskies put a lot of work into this years outfits.
Our first theme of the week was Jersey vs. Jersey Shore.
We saw lots of cheetah prints and shoulder pads. I don't think Snooki or Tom Brady would be dissapointed!
Day two couldn't have been any colder, but we still dressed up for paradise.
No tiki torches but lots of leis: Tacky tourist day.
Day three felt like blast from the past.
From leg warmers to polos shirts: Decades day.
Day four: Dad day
All the dads must have got lost on the way to get milk, they all ended up at MHS.
On our final day our Muskies went manic for Muskie mania.
The football team aren't the only ones on the field this homecoming season. Our Junior and Senior girls went head to head on the field.
Our Powderpuff girls put on quite a show for us, The football team was put to shame.
This year our beloved seniors took the dub.
The Homecoming court this year was amazing. It was so hard to tell who was going to win. After the Homecoming parade, we had to celebrate our court with a coronation.
Our winners Ella Schroeder and Gabe Salazar were finally crowned on Thursday.
Game day couldn't have been even more memorable.
Muskies really turned out this year, cheering our hard working football team on more than ever.
We may have lost our voices but we definitely didn't lose our game to Dubuque.
Spirt week is a week were school is meant to be more enjoyable. The anticipation for homecoming is always exciting and brings us together. Our spirt week may be over but the muskie spirt never ends.
