This week would normally be a busy schedule for the students in the Manchester Music program, as their District Festival, which hosts bands from across Southern Michigan, would be held - in-person - this weekend. But, since their is no in-person festival this year, the director, Mr. Jared Throneberry, will have a concert instead acting as their "Pre-Festival" concert. In just weeks after this concert takes place, the band will record and send in the video into the MSBOA, or the Michigan Schools Band and Orchestra Association, and recieve a rating in return.
The Manchester Music Boosters oversees the Senior High Concert Band, Junior High Concert Band, Jazz Band, Choir, 5th Grade Band, 6th Grade Band, and the Elementary Music Classes. The Jr/Sr High School Ensembles performed this past Monday, and the 5th and 6th Grade Bands will perform on Thursday, March 11.
Their concert schedule is:
5th Grade - 6:30pm
6th Grade - 7:30pm
