Each month, the Manchester Community Schools Foundation meets and selects a high school Senior for Student of the Month. The committee selects students based on their academic performance, extracurricular involvement, and overall good character.

Phoenix Waters was selected as the January Student of the Month!

Daughter of Jeffrey and Connie Waters, Phoenix is involved with Key Club since her sophomore year, and National Honors Society, where she volunteers her time to help others. Phoenix is also an athlete, participating in Wrestling (in 2019, she was one of the top female wrestlers in the state of Michigan) and also plays softball.

Phoenix has not made any official decisions on college, but plans to study Secondary Education.

The Maroon Monsoon congratulates Phoenix on her achievements, and wishes her well in her future endeavors.
