Editor's Note: The Maroon Monsoon is hosting a monthly campaign honoring teachers who help inspire and shape the minds of the next generation. The Monsoon thanks teachers throughout the district for their hard and dedicated work.

For this month, the Teacher of the Month is Ms. Leslie Rollins! Ms. Rollins teaches Business Technology, Accounting, Marketing, Personal Finance, and new this semester, Connect with an Exceptional Individual. Ms. Rollins has been teaching for 20 years, now into her 21st year - the first eight years teaching UAW workers at the Ford factory, partnering with Willow Run Schools.

When asked what she liked about our school, she replied: “I love how supportive the community is, I love the small town feel. Everybody knows everybody, and everybody wants each student to succeed.” Ms. Rollins also advises DECA, Student Council, and the Washington D.C Trip Advisor. Ms. Rollins was the Class Advisor for the Classes of 2014 and 2018. She also serves as the President of the Manchester Education Association, the Treasurer of the Washtenaw County Education Association, and the Editor-in-Chief of The Maroon Monsoon. One could easily say that she is one of the most influential teachers in Manchester.
